 Our family met Jamie approximately 10 years ago. We were in that stage of a parent's life when you are sending your first (and subsequently the other 2 followed) off to college. It is a daunting process and we were in unchartered territory to be sure. Much had changed since my husband and I went, many years ago of course! Where to go, what can we afford, what options are out there for financial assistance, etc. With her help we were able to send 2 of the 3 to private schools (one an Ivy leaguer) that we would never had thought we could even put on the list.  Jamie Hanson continues to be an integral part of my daughter’s college plans and finances. She patiently walked us through initial steps of choosing the university, which was complicated since my daughter was accepted to several with varying costs. She also helped in completing the FAFSA, not an easy task. Today our family has 3 years of higher education completed and Jamie is still available to answer our questions, keep us moving forward, help with the FAFSA and navigate the loans, scholarships and grants awarded. I first met Jamie at a public library where she was doing a presentation about paying for  college.  During her talk, she said so many things that described our family financial situation exactly and how varying assets could impact my 2 kids' college plans.  

I spoke to her after the presentation and set up a meeting right away. In the following 4 years, Jamie's advice on how our finances would impact our financial aid have been invaluable, accurate and timely.  She has accurately predicted how much aid our daughter's college will provide, and her expertise has allowed our daughter to attend the college of her dreams.
